Description
Boro Book. Using simple stitching, make a sample fabric book of the Japanese style of mending, mimicking the layered patching used to keep garments and household fabric items in use for generations! Some students have made “memory books” in this class. All fabrics, needles and various types of thread will be provided. Basic hand-stitching knowledge is required. A simple Japanese binding technique will be used to hold the pages of your sample book together. Creative patching with a long history will be yours to continue! Two days of instruction and work with two weeks between to work on your pages at your own pace. $80.00 includes all instruction and supplies ($25.00 deposit).
