Cousins Pete Gunderson and Carla Hamre follow their family roots back to the farming communities surrounding Lodi, northern Dane County and Columbia County, through their Hermanson family tree. Following the retirement of Carla Hamre, the Hamre Funeral Home, which has served the Lodi Community for over a half century, merged with the Gunderson Family Funeral Homes, located throughout Dane County. With hometown family values in how we care for those loved ones who have died plus the support provided for the surviving family, it is our promise to continue to serve those in need with the same values the Gunderson family established their funeral practice on, nearly a century ago. The same care that was given by the late Bob Gunderson, Edward Hamre and Carla Hamre is continued with Pete Gunderson and his son Matt. Currently serving Lodi is Patty Malisch Seiler and Dan Dederich, both having ties to the community and surrounding area. Stop in to say ''Hi'' and have a cup of coffee with us some time, we are available to serve our families 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
