From July 1st to 3rd, join us from 1 pm to 4 pm at the picturesque Okee Bay Beach/Park for a fun-filled experience tailored for kids ages 12-14. Led by our expert instructor, Stephanie Mayer, this camp is designed to introduce young adventurers to the world of paddling. Stephanie will guide participants through the basics of paddling techniques and essential safety tips, ensuring a safe and enjoyable time on the water. Kayaks, paddles and life jackets will be supplied by Peaceful Valley Outdoors so don't miss this opportunity to explore the beauty of the outdoors, make new friends, and learn valuable skills that will last a lifetime. Secure your spot today and embark on a summer filled with paddling excitement! About our Instructor: Stephanie is a teacher of Social Studies and an avid outdoor enthusiast! Canoeing and kayaking on bodies of water in Wisconsin and Minnesota is her all time favorite activity. She has taken several trips with students into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and loves to take her family on local paddling adventures. Paddling became an even more profound passion once Stephanie got to experience first hand and by witnessing the power nature has with her students, especially in those paddling experiences. The transformative impact nature has in calming anxiousness and building confidence is why Stephanie continues to work with students in outdoor settings. Lodi has so many wonderful outdoor opportunities which is a primary reason Stephanie and her family moved here five years ago. One of her goals is to share her passion for paddling with as many people as possible - especially with local youth. Stephanie is Red Cross CPR & Lifeguard Certified and additionally Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Certified through Wilderness Medical Associates.
